Planning – don’t expect the best without doing some planning & research first. Like most things in life, web design & development needs to be pre-planned. First I do some research & analysis. I will ask you questions like, What do you want to accomplish? Who are your competitors? Do you have a favorite website that you just love the design of and are attracted to? Once I have an idea of who you are and what your goals are, I will take the SITEMAP that you create and transform it into a WIREFRAME. Don’t worry though, if you don’t already have a sitemap, we will work together to generate one. A sitemap and wireframe for a designer are like an architect’s blueprints. Once completed, our foundation will be laid.
Now that we have a foundation, we can start building upon it. I will use the structure we developed during our planning time and create a visually appealing user interface for your website. Thanks to Sallie Mae, I spent 4 years studying design – I know what I’m doing. This process is very rarley a one time hit, although sometimes it is. After starting the initial Design we can figure out the likes, dislikes, and do minor tweaking here and there. After the initial response we should be able to narrow down what exactly you want and provide them with a design response that they are seeking.
Once you approve the design, I will turn the design into a fully functional website. I take the design, slice it into pieces, and use HTML & CSS code to put it back together. For various aspects, I may also use JavaScript, Flash, jQuery, PHP, and any other language I need to get the job done and provide the website you expect. I will make sure that the website is compatible for the most popular and up to date web browsers.
